Canvas for Claude ("the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that adds a drawing canvas to claude.ai so you can sketch and attach the drawing to your message.

Summary

The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything it does happens locally in your browser.

Data collection

The extension collects no data whatsoever. Specifically, it does not collect, access, or transmit:

• Personal or identifying information
• Your sketches or drawings (they exist only in the browser page and are discarded when you close the canvas)
• Your claude.ai conversations, messages, or account information
• Browsing history, analytics, or usage statistics
• Cookies or tracking identifiers of any kind

Network access

The extension makes no network requests. All of its code is packaged inside the extension; nothing is downloaded, fetched, or sent to any server — ours or anyone else's. There is no server component.

Permissions

• Access to claude.ai — required so the extension can add its drawing button to the claude.ai message composer and attach your finished sketch there. The extension runs on no other website.
• Clipboard write — used only as a fallback: if a sketch cannot be attached to the composer directly, it is copied to your clipboard so you can paste it manually. The extension never reads from your clipboard.

Data storage

The extension stores nothing. It does not use local storage, sync storage, cookies, or any other persistence mechanism. When you close the drawing canvas, your sketch is gone unless you attached or saved it yourself.

Third parties

No data is shared with third parties, because no data is collected. The extension contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking libraries.
